Cairns Regional Council has established Accessible Cairns and the Access for All directory to assist locals and visitors to our region to be able to plan their trip or access services that are accessible to people with a disability, their family, friends, carers and support workers.

Council has created the Access for All Directory to provide information on accessible accommodation, tourist operators, equipment hire services and more. Please visit the directory and select the region you are visiting and then scroll through the services listed to find the information you are looking for. The information is provided to support locals and visitors with a disability, their family, support workers and carers.

New pay parking exempt payment stickers hit Cairns Regional Council's pay parking ticket machines

The stickers will be on all pay parking ticket machines within the next two weeks. This has been an initiative of the Access and Equity Advisory Group.

Preparing for Cyclones

This video gives a detailed description of what a cyclone is, the different categories of cyclone, what to do when a cyclone warning is issued and summary of how to prepare for cyclones before they arrive. The video is made in Auslan with subtitles and has been developed especially for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
