Council has created the Access for All Directory to provide information on accessible accommodation, tourist operators, equipment hire services and more. Please visit the directory and select the region you are visiting and then scroll through the services listed to find the information you are looking for. The information is provided to support locals and visitors with a disability, their family, support workers and carers.

New pay parking exempt payment stickers hit Cairns Regional Council's pay parking ticket machines
Andrew Jamieson Direct Employment Services representative member of the Cairns Regional Council's Access and Equity Advisory Group showing off the new exempt payment sticker for people with a valid National Parking Permit or International equivalent. The stickers will be on all pay parking ticket machines within the next two weeks. This has been an initiative of the Access and Equity Advisory Group.

Preparing for Cyclones an Auslan Guide
This video gives a detailed description of what a cyclone is, the different categories of cyclone, what to do when a cyclone warning is issued and summary of how to prepare for cyclones before they arrive. The video is made in Auslan with subtitles and has been developed especially for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.

- How do I lodge a complaint about a damaged footpath or other access issues affecting a person with a disability?
